Jasper Morrison's shop in London's Shoreditch is easy to miss. Hidden in a courtyard off a main road, it sits beside the British designer's studio and houses both his own designs as well as global finds. On a recent visit, I spotted an intriguing new display of cast-iron goods. The line is part of a post-tsunami initiative to boost traditional industries such as Olgen, a Japanese cast-iron manufacturer with a 160 year-old history. The result is Morrison's Palma line for Olgen, a compelling mix of age-old craft and modern sensibility. To learn more, visit Jasper Morrison.
